Established in
1995, Simulation Works designs software that automate the most
human intensive and costly aspects of Mechanical Computer-Aided
Engineering (MCAE). Its products, KUBRIX®
and the Rhino3D KUBRIX® Plug-in,
serve the MCAE software and services market, and are used by engineers
and researchers worldwide.
The main engine
of KUBRIX is based on a proprietary software technology that uses fuzzy
logic analysis. It shaves off over 80% off the cost of MCAE by
automating its most human-intensive and costly component known as mesh
generation. Manual mesh generation is a painstaking operation that
involves hours to weeks of intensive and repetitive visual interaction
between a specialist and an engineering workstation. With KUBRIX® this
task is reduced to minutes of computation on a computer.
Based on industry
standards, KUBRIX® is designed to work independently or within other
MCAE software, and be transparent to MCAE work flows. KUBRIX runs on
multiple platforms, including PC’s.
Simulation Works
was founded by Reza Taghavi, Ph.D., a former manager of engineering
applications at Cray Inc. Its development team, which includes former
Cray Research developers and sales force is located worldwide. It
has leveraged its experience in the development and sale of
high-performance computing products to build an agile and responsive
software company. Simulation Works’ products are sold directly, through
sub-licensing arrangements with distributors or as OEM components
implemented within major CAE software applications.
Simulation Works’
vision is to remain the industry leader in the delivery of innovative
design automation software tools. The company’s aim is to provide its
customers with ever more intelligent and powerful products.
Simulation Works, Inc. is a privately held Minnesota company
based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA.
